Siohvaughn Wade turned herself in to authorities in Chicago on Tuesday and then walked out of the downtown courthouse about an hour later.
Wade’s release comes a day after a Cook County judge ordered she be taken into custody when she failed to appear for a hearing in the couple’s contentious divorce.
Her attorney says Wade always intended to appear in court but didn’t because she thought the hearing would be postponed after the attorney got into a car accident.
Cook County Circuit Judge Marya Nega told the attorney that Wade’s failure to appear was simply the last incident of her ignoring court orders.
Nega had harsh words for Siohvaughn Wade on Monday saying she had repeatedly ignored the judge’s orders in the case.
Last week, Wade filed a lawsuit alleging her husband’s relationship with actress Gabriell Union has caused distress to her and the couple’s two children.
